There were 3 people in our party. We sat in the dining room area instead of the hibachi area. The food was delicious, but when it came to our table, it was cold. The server was great, and it was a very quiet atmosphere. I would go back again.
If your in Ellicott city Columbia, come in and try the hibachi and sushi at Koto Sake. All is very fresh. Fast seating, professional and entertaining chefs and the wait staff are polite, timely and attentive. The restaurant has a bar and booth for more private and quiet seating. They also have a beautiful water fountain as you walk in. Very cool.
Birthdays, celebrations and family gatherings are ideal here. Looking forward to another visit
If you're in the mood for an entertaining and delicious dining experience, look no further than Koto. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home.
But the real star of the show is the hibachi grill. Watching the skilled chefs (we had Tony!) prepare your meal right in front of you is a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds.
And the food? Delicious. Whether you're in the mood for tender steak, shrimp, or perfectly cooked chicken, Koto has you covered. And the portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry.
But the real standout for me was the sushi. The rolls were creative and beautifully presented, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that made each bite a delight. And the sake selection was top-notch as well.
Overall, I can't recommend Koto highly enough. It's a fun and memorable dining experience that's perfect for special occasions or just a fun night out. Whether you're a hibachi grill aficionado or a sushi lover, there's something for everyone at Koto.
The food is good, we got the filet mignon and shrimp hibachi which was great. The vegetable hibachi is just broccoli, onions, carrots, and a tiny bit of tofu, so that was disappointing.
The service was remarkably bad. We showed up 5 minutes before our reservation time and had to stand in the takeout line to check in. Once checked in we waited another 20 minutes to be seated. Once at our table, drinks weren't brought out until after we got our soup/salad. They forgot the drinks of multiple people at our table, bringing them out halfway through the meal. The server came back twice to confirm my appetizer, which came out after the chef started cooking the entrees. We also ordered a sushi appetizer that never came, and when asked the server said she had crossed it out accidentally.
Additionally, there were two people in our party but we were seated with a family of 7 celebrating a birthday. This was awkward for us and them.
We won't be returning here for hibachi.
The food was cooked to perfection, & the food servicer was very pleasant, & saw to our every need. The skills the chef exhibited while preparing our meal was very entertaining. The atmosphere was one of great comfort & everyone in our shared dining area looked like they were genuinely having a great time.
Looking forward to my next visit there.
After watching The Mario Bro Movie our son wanted the hibachi experience, so we found one near our home and made a reservation using Google's automated assistant thing and it worked perfectly. We arrived 30 minutes early and they sat us immediately, offered us drinks & gave us the usual apps as we awaited the chef. We told them that it was our son's 9th birthday and they showed him a little extra attention during his performance. The food was good & plentiful. We left very pleased. ✌🏽
Food was cool definitely could see it’s a family managed business. I didn’t feel the were attentive enough. The food did lack seasoning.
One of the best Hibachi restaurants I've been to thus far. Enjoyed the low key atmosphere...kind of tucked away. Very authentic and reasonably priced. Good food and the ginger/yum yum sauce is amazing! Friendly service and enough food for 2 days... highly recommended
